Research Interests

My research focuses on combining the intelligence of humans in solving complex problems and the scalability of machines to process large amounts of data. In particular, I try to mix the two worlds by creating solutions to efficiently manage crowd-workers to deliver timely inputs to machine requests. My Phd thesis “Quality of Service in Crowd-Powered Systems” received the Prix Informatique 2015 (Best Thesis Award in Computer Science). I am currently working as Assistant Professor at NYU Abu Dhabi.

My work is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
